Square One

He walked and watched
and tried to understand
Everything seemed too big
too overwhelming

He strived and struggled
and tried hard as he can
Everything was too difficult
too intimidating

He learned and wised up
and tasted success
Everything seemed so smooth
so in the grasp

So he ran and jumped
and enjoyed his harvest
Everything seemed so perfect
so very assured

He began to wander and explore
and try new things
but again everything seemed too big
too overwhelming

And now he’s back to walking and watching
and trying to understand
Like once everything seems too difficult
too intimidating

He’ll keep on striving and struggling
and trying hard as he can
Maybe one day he’ll go back to running and jumping
and truly enjoying...

The Time Cycle

Posted by The Good Boy at 12:45 AM 0 comments
They said time will heal and they were right. I was healed, but what they didn’t say is as time heals, it will bring along new heartaches, different conflicts. So it is actually a cycle. A cruel cycle if you asked me. The new will replace the old, and heartaches are not immune to this law of nature. Old heartaches will go away but the new ones will take their place.

"Nobody said it was easy, well no one ever said that it will be this hard," sings Chris Martin. I guess just like him, I found out the hard way. Poor guy, poor me!

Funny how they also said problems will keep you alive because I’m not feeling too lively right now. I'm feeling sad, empty, sorry and angry. The first three feelings are understandable because no matter what comes to mind, I do care. The last feeling though, it's unjustified. I'm just being a brat, a brat who is not getting his way. Deep down I know it's for the best.

Look back from time to time but never ever stop looking forward. Don’t worry about the people in your past, there is a reason they didn’t make it to your future. Forget who hurt you yesterday, but don't forget who loves you tenderly today. Never be sad for what is over, just be glad that it was once yours. Bla bla bla

Are there more annoying things than quotes like above?! Sigh...

Thankfully though, time also brings experience. I’m still not strong enough to take it all but I wasn’t as weak as when I first felt it. I’m better at adjusting now and better to accept the fact that some things will not be the way we want it to be. No matter how much we want it to be, no matter how hard we try to make it work, if it’s not meant to be then it wont be. Accept it and just let it be. Hard as it is, letting go is the best cure.

A wise man that was Homer Simpson once said, “Here's to alcohol, the cause of—and solution to—all life's problems!”

Now I’m saying, “Here’s to time, the solution to—and cause of—all life's problems!”

Life goes on…

The Minute I Said Goodbye

I missed you the minute I said goodbye

The minute I said goodbye,
I wished for more
I felt empty
I threw away my inspiration.

The minute I said goodbye,
I killed part of me
I suffered
I surrendered to pain.

The minute I said goodbye,
I drowned in sorrow
I gave up
I fell into misery.

I lost a friend the very minute I said goodbye

I’m missing you, I wish you well.

Me Against Skinny

I have a friend who is obsessed on losing weight. I kept saying that she looked fine, that she was not fat. But no, she insisted that she is fast gaining weight. “Help, I can’t fit into all of my jeans,” she told me. “Hmm, she is such an exaggerator,” I thought to myself.

She then forwarded me her latest picture to prove her point. Hehe, she was right, she gained weight! It’s funny because it was only two weeks since I last saw her and now her face is fuller than I remembered. So yes she did put on some weight. However she still doesn’t look fat to me. In fact, she is looking better than ever. Way better than when she was skinny as a stick. Unless fat to her meant something else, I just can’t understand it.

That’s what I don’t get, why do people so obsessed on being skinny. Actually I don’t care much about it until I watched Hancock, because Charlize Theron was really thin! She lost a large part of her beauty because of that. I was truly disappointed! People fussed over the fact that Angelina Jolie being skinny, that she’s not looking as good anymore but what about Charlize Theron? Her beauty is classic, and her body was perfect. She wasn’t fat, she was curvy, at all the right places. And now all that are gone. Losing her curves is a tragedy!

It is the same with Hillary Duff. I really like her in Lizzie McGuire. She was cute and the reason being she was a little bit chubby. But now she has joined the skinny club and looking anorexic. Erghh, why?! (**)

I just don’t get it!

Last Night

Last night I dreamt of you,
while the eyes were resting I dreamt of you,
while the tears were flowing I dreamt of you.

Memories we want to forget will linger,
memories we want to linger will disappear.
To reminisce is human nature,
trying to understand will only lead to torture.

Last night I called out your name,
While you were laughing I called out your name,
While you were crying I whispered your name.

Last night was just a chapter,
in the long journey to find cure.
Last night was just a seed,
for the inevitable growing of peace.

Last night I dreamt of you,
While the heart bleeds I dreamt of you.
