White Over Blue

Posted by The Good Boy at 1:43 PM

So what do you do when your story shackles you,
When your past slip ups chain you to woe,
Do you slump to self pity crying in rue,
Or do you rise high to paint white over blue.

I was safely wrapped in a bundle of love,
As the dearest lifted me up above,
Safe from all life’s hits and shoves,
Straightened all the confusing curves.

But the instant I was freed to roam the world,
Somehow somewhere I got lost in the twirl,
Taking hard blows from life and its cruel,
Leaving myself battered and crying like a fool.

So here I am bounded to the sin,
Starting over with a new beginning,
Come what may I’ll take it on the chin,
As I’ve grown tired of all the running.

I pray to Almighty for His divine guidance,
And for the pretty goddess to be there too,
Waiting with open arms until I’m done,
Done with my quest to paint white over blue.
