The Year That Was 2008

The year that made me realised the saying ‘time will heal’ is both a lie and the truth.

The year that ‘freed’ me from the not-so-precious ‘Russian egg’.

The year that showed me what a spineless fool I’ve been.

The year that told me I don’t need any more drama in my life.

The year that added another angle in my views of life.

The year that liberated me from my quest for fairy tales.

The year that pointed out how I’m using tragedies as a reason to be a coward and not trying.

The year that pushed me further, be it just an inch further, from the core of my comfort zone.

The year that reminded me no matter how useless I feel, I’m still needed.

To you, thank you for showing me how trivial everything was. And for tirelessly trying to shove some sense into my head.

To you, a million thanks for tolerating my anger, and for still being there. And for understanding me, when I myself having a tough time with it.

To you, thank you for saying ‘No’, for the whole of our young friendship, your ‘No’ was the best thing that you have done for me. Thank you.
